Rock Cycle

Currently on view in exhibition ‘De Cycloop’ at Museum Cobra 20-09-2025 till 18-01-2026.

A massive tractor tyre rotates perpetually. Inside it, rough stones are spun around, slowly wearing down through the endless tumbling. The work mirrors the geological process of erosion, where natural forces grind boulders into smooth forms over time. The installation produces its own ‘primordial marbles’ from modern rubble, a nod to the very first marble ever shaped by nature itself.
